Terms of service

Last updated 15 October 2026.

These terms cover your use of the DupeTidy add-on for Google Sheets. DupeTidy is made and sold by an independent developer ("we"), not by Google. By installing or using it, you agree to these terms.

The service

DupeTidy finds rows in a spreadsheet that look like duplicates and, if you ask it to, removes or merges them. The free version works on sheets up to 1,000 rows. A Pro licence adds features listed on the homepage.

Check before you delete

Fuzzy matching is a judgement call. Two rows that look alike may be different records. Review the matches before you confirm any change, and keep a copy of important sheets (File, then Make a copy, or Sheets' version history). We aren't responsible for rows you choose to remove or merge.

Pro licences

Pro licences are sold through Gumroad, which handles payment and receipts. A licence is for you to use; don't share or resell the key. Refunds follow the policy shown on the Gumroad product page.

Acceptable use

Don't use DupeTidy to break the law, to process data you have no right to process, or to interfere with the add-on or Google's services.

No warranty

DupeTidy is provided "as is". We work to keep it accurate and available, but we don't promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted. It also depends on Google Sheets and Apps Script, which we don't control.

Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, our total liability for any claim about DupeTidy is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost data or profits.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms and will post the new version here with a new date. You can stop using DupeTidy at any time by uninstalling it. We may withdraw the add-on; if we do, we'll tell paying users in advance.
